IRadimed Corporation announces the availability of two new product accessories.
11/23/2005 —
Winter Park, Florida; November 23, 2005 IRadimed Corporation announced today the launch of two new accessories for its state-of-the-art 3850 MRidium MRI Infusion Pump. IRadimed released the world's first non magnetic infusion pump designed from the ground up for the MR in April 2005, it is the only IV System approved for use in the new 3T MR's. Iradimed Corporation expands the 3850 MRidium Pump's capability with two new accessories showing at the RSNA, which will define new standards of care in the MR. IRadimed's new 3855 MRidium Remote Control option will allow Nurses, Anesthesiologist, Cardiologist, Radiologist, and Technicians to view and control the 3850 MRidium MRI Infusion Pump without having to stay in the MR while the scan is proceeding. This allows the clinician to safely remain in the control room, while still monitoring patients IV Fluids. Delays in scanning occur everyday when IV Rates need to be titrated or changed due to patient response. Every day critical patients are put on long extension sets, gravity infusion lines, or potentially unsafe magnetic infusion or syringe pumps while in the MR. The new MRidium Remote Control feature will change how MR Infusion delivery is provided today, by providing clinicians a way to deliver their medications for sedation, cardiac stress testing, and critical care patients while remaining in the MR control room. Combined with IRadimed's unique Bypass Infusion Set, it allows for quick transition of patients medications without having to disconnect their current IV Lines. http://www.iradimed.com/en-us/products/remote.php IRadimed Corporation is also launching its new 1057 MRidium Vented Syringe Adapter IV Set which will allow delivery of critical medications via syringe in the MR. The new vented syringe adapter meets a critical need of safe delivery of small doses of fluids in the MR. The Syringe adapter allows the clinician to deliver fluids in syringes from 10 to 60 mL's while using only 4 mL's to prime the micro-bore tubing set. Combined with the ability to set up delivery of medications in the MRidium Pump's dose rate calculator; clinicians will be able to safely deliver small dose medications for sedation, pediatrics, and cardiac stress testing without having to use special adapters to vent their syringes, extension sets, or other products which increase risk, cost, and time while the patient is in the MR. http://www.iradimed.com/en-us/products/syringe_set.php IRadimed Corporation is dedicated to providing safe and simple ways to deliver patients' IV medication needs while in the MR. Each of our products are designed with patient and clinician safety in mind. The development team has over 30+ years experience producing quality, safe products built for the MR and Infusion Market. As the newer 3T MR market continues to double each year; it is critical that hospitals look to products which have been designed specifically for the much higher strength magnets. New requirements in the market are looking to redefine what is safe, compatible, and conditional when providing products used in the MR. Many companies have gained MR "compatibility" status with products that remain somewhat magnetic, are of questionable RF-shielding integrity, or have conditions restraining placement within the Magnet room. The MRidium 3850 MR Infusion Pump provides true compatibility under realistic operating conditions in your MR (10,000 gauss-line placement with no RF noise leakage that affects image quality).
